BAD SAFETY SENCOR
2006 saturn ion shift solenoid
Have you tried turning the ignition key to the run position , step on the brake pedal , and shift to neutral ?
Turn the ignition on, put your foot on the brake and just shift the auto transmission into the N position. If your battery is totally dead you will have to jump the battery from another vehicle in order to accomplish this.
The shift lock button is used when the battery has discharged or the ignition isn't turned on, once the button is pressed it allows the gear lever to be moved from P (parking) to N (neutral).
It wants you to shift into a higher gear. Check your battery voltage when running - should be 13.5+ - I would bet its low and your gonna need a new alternator... Eric
the ignition lock cylinder is bad
what is the shift pattern for an 81 kawasaki kz750 & will the transmition shift gears sitting still or does it have to be moving. please and thank you
On the transaxle, just follow the shift cable.
battery is weak or the solenoid for the shift is bad
The transmission shift solenoid on a 2000 Saturn 2L is located inside the transmission. It is typically located on the valve body, which is inside the transmission case. To access and replace the shift solenoid, the transmission will likely need to be partially disassembled.
