Solenoid is either bad or there is a bad connection (usually the power wire) its a cheap fix. Just remove the wires one by one and put on the new one...its either that or a bad battery (anything less then 10 or 11 VDC)...seen it alot with my older towncar...same parts.
A no start condition where the starter just clicks.
It will probably be your starter motor Starter is out!
Have someone that you know that knows about cars check the starter cellanoid.
bad solenoid in the starter or insufficient voltage to the starter
sounds like the starter solenoid, you will have to replace the starter
Does it click, sometimes or all the time. Clean all the power leads to make sure for good contact. If it still clicks and starter does not engage, then change it. Not an expensive part.
The starter is located just behind the top end of the engine. I have a '99 king quad. Mine solenoid clicks too. I thought it was a loose wire because sometimes it would turn over but I took it in and was told i need a new stARter. they run about $75.
sounds like your in the market for a starter.
if the battery and battery conections are good, then you need to replace the starter motor
Weak battery or poor connection - battery to starter. Possible bad starter.
starter, starter relay, battery, high resistance in batter/starter cabels just a few things that will cause this.
If the battery is bad, you may only hear clicks. It could be the starter, but I would check the charge on the battery first.
