I have a 97 Cavalier,,,and one key does the door , ignition and trunk.

Remove the relay or fuse for the door locks
check the fuse box, could be that easy sorry... they are all on one fuse
Right Side Fuse Panel, Position 1- Door Locks, Trunk Pull Down
Turn the key in the trunk - it unlocks the gas door too. The locks work on a vacuum system. (You can disconnect the gas door from the system by pulling apart a plug in the trunk on the right side behind the plastic cover but I'm not sure if this would cause other problems.)
Its in the trunk on the right under the rug.
doors locks & trunk lock not working
In the center console, below the trap door.
Blocked or damaged lock or key
It is a optional box to install behind the rear seat, which locks when the rear door is locked.
There is a fuse blown I think is f31
