5W-30 is the preferred oil , according to the 1996 Ford Thunderbird Owner Guide
What engine do you have?
Check with a manual gauge to confirm no oil pressure Could just be a bad oil sending unit Could be a bad oil pump Excessive engine wear
Supercharger oil for a 1993 Ford Thunderbird can be found at auto parts stores that sell racing performance parts. Usually, a 50 wt. oil will work for this type of engine.
i just put a 4.6 in a 1994, the oil sending unit is located right on the oil filter bracket, ( where the oil filter screws on ) it has one wire that pushes onto it,
I have been putting 10W30 Maxlife Valvoline in my 97 Ford Thunderbird. It is partially a synthetic oil that cuts down on wear and tear on your high mileage engine.
Either at the rear or side of the oil pan
According to the ( 1996 ) Ford Thunderbird Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : ( 5.3 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 , PREFERRED engine oil )
According to the 2002 Ford Thunderbird Owner Guide : The 3.9 liter V8 engine takes : ( with engine oil filter change , 5.7 litres / 6.0 U.S. quarts of engine oil )
