There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
For the 1994, you have to remove the negative battery cable, then depress the brake and hold it in for 5 seconds to reset the check engine light.
On a 1996 Ford Probe : Just below and to the left of the check engine light is the ( O/D OFF light , that indicates that the Over Drive , or top gear of the automatic transaxle / transmission has been switched off ) if the Over Drive has not been switched off and the light stays on or is flashing a problem has been detected Just below and to the right of the check engine light is the air bag readiness light , if the light stays on or is flashing a problem has been detected with the Supplemental Restraint System / air bag
if the noise comes from the front end while you rev the engine, and not alot of sound comes from the tailpipe, check the exhaust from the front back for cracks or breaks. it sounds like an exhaust leak to me.

engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder , from a bad head gasket , warped or cracked head
the 2 are most likely unrelated the check engine light is on for an emissions-related malfunction the seat belt light could be a number of things - does the vehicle have airbags? - does the vehicle have automatic shoulder belts, and if so, is the lapbelt used or not? thats all i can contribute here I have a 1996 Ford Probe. The check engine light came on. Took it to a mechanic who said usually it means the catalytic converter is going bad but if that were the case, the car would be performing poorly.. would have no "get up and go" and might have a rotten egg odor. Since that was not the case, he said the sensor was shot, needs a new sensor.
I'd take her to a schucks, checker, Kragen, or CSK and plug the diagnostic computer in to car and see what she needs. my guess is it's a bad sensor somewhere.
well one thing you can do is get a scan tool, they are not cheap but you hook it up to your diagnostics port and turn it on, your key has to be set to on not to acc. but not started either. run a sytem code check using your scan tool. it will display the codes causing your check engine light to come on. search the codes online if the scan tool doesnt tell you what the codes represent. then trouble shoot to find your problems. once done delete your ECUs codes and your light will turn off.
Hey James==The wires to the injector are one hot all of the time and one pulsates as the ecm grounds it as the engine is turned over. TAke a test light and hook one end to ground and probe both wires on the injectors. One wire should have 12 volts. If not, check all of the fuses. If no fuses blown check the wiring. If you do have 12 volts, put the light from 0ne injector wire to the other and have someone turn the engine over. the light should flash. If it doesn't, check the wiring to the ecm. Goodluck, Joe

You can use an immersion probe to check the internal temperature of a pot of soup. You can also use a thermocouple with a surface probe to check the internal soup temperature.
