Your best bet would be to take loose the catalytic convertor and see if it is stopped up. you can run it like that for a few mins. to see if that is what is causing the problem. it might kick on a trouble code. I had a car do that ran fine then when it warmed up a little wouldn't go over 20mph. pulled catalytic convertor off and it ran fine. If that is the problem you can replace it with a generic catalytic convertor not one from the dealer to save some money.
Chicago Hope - 1994 Cold Hearts 6-17 was released on: USA: 30 March 2000
i have a 2000 dodge work van 318 engine when i start in the morning it stalls several times until it warms up then ok
White smoke- steam? Only when cold - normal condition condensation
all engines hesitate when cold they need to get to proper running temp
Often a knock when cold is caused by piston slap, which is pistons rocking in the cylinders until they expand in size when the engine warms up.
When oil warms up it flows easier and is less thick (has less viscosity). Change your oil and use a heavier weight oil like 10w30 or higher.
It warms their hand when in its cold outside.
It keeps it warms for the cold
It keeps it warms for the cold
625+cold cranking amps or more
Not really a good sign. Have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge at the engine when cold. If good, then have your sensor replaced.
try replacing the black coolant thermistor located on the back of the thermostat housing this maybe tellin the ecu that the engine is warm rather than cold causing problems starting when cold
