This could be a sign that you have a "blown" head gasket. Does the oil have a grayish color? If so, the gasket is allowing water from the cooling system to mix with the oil. Take the dip stick out and place a drop of oil on a hot exhaust manifold. If it appears to bubble or "boil" off then there is water in the oil. Are you using, or losing radiator coolant too? This in conjuntion with the foamed oil can also be an indication of a bad head gasket.
