1996 gmc jimmy it turns over but will not start ive changed the spark plugs distributor cap ignition coil and fuel pump what causes it not to start?

Your Jimmy has a crankshaft position sensor mounted by your crankshaft pully in the front of your engine on the bottom. If the senor is bad your engine does not recognize that your engine is turning and will not fire the plugs. Try changing your sensor and your engine should start.
