It's the turn signal switch which is the culprit.
TRY TURNING THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS ON AND OFF A COUPLE TIMES THEN CHECK YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS. WORKED FOR ME.
AnswerDefective emergency lights flasher relay.I had the same problem and I had to buy a new turn signal switch that you have to take off the steering wheel to get to it
to everyone who has asked about turn signal flashers today. 90% of the time the flasher unit is plugged into your fuse block. it will be round, metal or plastic, or rectangular metal or plastic. it will say flasher unit on it. there will be one for the emergency flashers, and one for the turn signals. there might also be a fuse for each in the fuse box as well.
