1998 range rover started not to perform well it start to have- cut- in running looks like a sick old man coughing what could be the proplem the cut in running only last for few minutes when cold?

check the cold start valve is working and not stuck usually take it out and use carb cleaner to clean it of all the carbon that builds up failing that the fuel mixture is incorrect. if its too lean theres not enough fuel to richen the mixture to aid a cold start, if its too rich it "chokes" the engine both these can lead to poor cold start and running but i would start with the cold fuel valve (solenoid)
