If the check engine light is blinking that means an engine cylinder misfire has been detected
If your unsure of why the check engine light keeps coming on, you should take it to a place like Auto Zone. They can run a test and let you know what's wrong.
The check gage light comes on if the engine coolant temperature is too high , the oil pressure is too low , or the gas gauge is at or near empty
As you dont say what model/engine Vauxhall, it's hard to say. My guess would be the idle air control valve sticking. When you come to a halt the vale does not open fast enough to prevent the engine stalling. After a few seconds it has managed to open, and then the engine will restart.
Check for a vacuum leak.
Your oil compression is down probably... check the oil pan for rust and such.
My check engine light keeps coming on. The code comes up evap p0446. Where would I start with this. I know it could be the gas cap? Then where?
Oil pump needs replaced.Oil is not traveling through vehicle when pump is bad. Oil pressure sensor needs replaced if check engine light comes on.
There is an engine misfire, probably spark plugs issue.
A check engine light comes on for a reason. The engine computer has detected something wrong somewhere in the engine management system and your car's computer needs to be scanned for fault codes to determine the source of the problem. If you have done all that then your cars check engine light needs to be reset, how this is done I am unsure. Get the engine serviced! The dealership can provide the service and cancel the alert.
