There are two types of sin mentioned. One does not lead to death and the other one does. The sin that does not lead to death is the one that is repented of and forgiven. The sin that leads to death is the one that is not repented of or forgiven.
So the only sin that does not lead to death is the sin that is forgiven.
1John:5:17:
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
1John 1, 6, and 7
There is no Bible verse for John's death.
1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." This verse emphasizes the idea that God is always ready to forgive our sins when we repent and ask for forgiveness.
Depends what you are calling a "verse". His shortest line is one word: "Death" from King John.
1 john chapter 5 verse 17 "All Unrightousness is sin; and yet there is a sin that does not incur death." Just because we sin does not mean we cannot be forgiven. The bible ensures us that god forgives. James chapter 5 verse 15 says; "And the prayer of faith will make the indisposed one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sin, it will be forgiven." Isnt that a heartwarming thought? We should not try to sin, but the sins we try to not do, but do, will be forgiven, forgotten and replaces with god's eternal love.
This is not so much an "application" verse as opposed to a "historical" verse; meant only to inform us what happened in the past, leading up to the creation of Noah's ark.
