I have a red eared slider too. If you turtle is a baby dont worry until the third week or so. You can also try raw meat, baby turtles are usally carnivorous. If your turtle doesnt eat by the third week you should see a doctor. A list of foods for turtles is cooked chiken for a snack or treat, bloodworms, earthworms,veggies, fruits, pinkie mice, and you can also try frozen turtle pellets called NATURAL AQUATIC TURTLE FOOD. some people feed it a little every day. others feed it a whole bunch, then doesnt feed it for a week. best thing to do is to feed enough pellets to be the size of it's head, and feed it every 2 days. they can survive a long time without food.

Yes you can I've been feeding mine them for ages but only 3-4 a week as waxworms are mainly fat and you don't want your musk turtle eating too much fat :)
