There are several products now available that work as both primer and top coat. I have been told by people I trust in the business, that these products are good and time saving.
However, when I paint the home I live in, I still do things the old fashioned way. Primer and two top coats; baseboards and trim caulked and painted; top quality paint (not contractor's grade); that sort of thing.

I had the same question. The way it unrolls, or the foam up, and the poly down. I checked with Totem, that is what they told me. I have Trilogy 2in1 underlay. Hope it helps.
