2000 f250 powerstroke code p1271 what is a high to low open and how to fix it?

I'm going to assuming the definition is high to low cyl 1,3,5,7 or 2,4,6,8?? Or any one or two of those. What has happen is the valve cover gaskets are used as a threw connector. You can see the 9 pin connectors sticking out of the gaskets on each head. How on the other side under the valve cover theirs another one that connects to the opposite end of the threw connector and in turn goes tho the inj and glow plugs. Typically the one under the valve cover has pulled apart causing 1 if not all the injectors to not fire. You will need to remove the affected side or both and update the harnesses or install a clip in the old style harnesses that secures it better. I typically replace due to the fact i just don't like the "clip" and the updated harnesses will NOT accept the clips so they are better and around $50 a pop. Good luck hope this helps.
