You probably have a slight fuel leak from corroded fuel lines which is letting air into the system. After about a dozen cranks it will start when the fuel pumps through. It might be a loose fuel filter. Try priming the system by pushing the priming button on top of the fuel filter. Good luck, new fuel lines are expensive! Answer 2: Could be the glow plugs.
