The most comon problem is a bad electrical connecter above the fuel tank. New electric fuel pump works for a day or two and leaves the truck stranded in a driveway or parking lot. Just get a new fuel pump electrical connector ( the one above the fuel tank) The old connector fails because re-inserting the pins after the fuel pump job pushes them in and things work for a day or two because the pins touch end to end then sort of melt apart with no problem visable on the bad waterproof connector. During startup the truck with a new fuel pump gets little or no fuel and just cranks but won't start. The connector in question is located above the fuel tank in the electrical feed line to the fuel pump. Outside of connector may even look new while the pins inside have been damaged. Some times the pin receptor slips back into the female side of the connector. A new connector carefully installed will fix the problem. Happy Motoring, John Reimer Quakertown, PA
check the harmonic balancer
Call the person who repaired the car and tell them what is going on. But what you write above makes no sense. You say, "(wont turn over) (wants to start) by (wont stay running)" If it won't turn over, how does it want to start, and how can it be running in the first place? Did they replace the fuel filter. If not, they should have.
No one wants to be replaced.
Clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump.
This is a common problem with a common fix. I would go to www.chevytalk.org and do a search in the related truck section. Last I saw there were a bunch of posts regarding this problem and the fix.
Check your battery voltage, low voltage will not allow electronic fuel injection to work properly. Fuel? Spark? Compression
Did you hook upall the wires at the starter?
Start with changing the fuel filter.
unlikely. it could be one of many things. perhaps fuel filter needs replaced. check engine lite should be on. read the code and to from there

put new injectors in
It may be a dying fuel pump & or fuel filter. Might also be an issue with crank/cam sensors.
