Well I'am assuming this question is asking for the second largest island in the world, so without including Australia because its a continent it would be New Guinea in the Southwest Pacific. The largest island is Greenland.
Borneo, the third largest island in the world, is shared among three nations. Malaysia's Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan occupy the northern part of the island along with the country, Brunei Darussalam while the southern part is Indonesia's Kalimantan. Number three of those island that are also classed as continents, Antarctica fills the bill.
Kodiak Island, Alaska
Kodiak is about 3580 square miles in size. It is just a little smaller than the "big island" of Hawaii (4000 sq mi), and a hair larger than the US Territory of Puerto Rico (3450 sq. mi.)
Maui is the second largest.
Maui is #2.
Australia is not an island country, although it is often referred to as an island continent. For the purposes of this question, the next largest land mass, and largest island, is Greenland.
Borneo

Assuming that you take Australia to be an island, Greenland is the 2nd largest.
Island of Hispaniola, which is the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
North Stradbroke Island, Queensland
Quebec is the largest, Ontario is 2nd largest and prince Edward Island is the smallest.
Austrliais the largest island in the world and I think Greenland is either 2nd, 3rd, 5th, or 6th.
There is no continent that is the 2nd smallest but has the 2nd largest population. Europe is the 2nd smallest, but it does not have the 2nd largest population. That title goes to Africa.
The largest island in the world is Greenland which politically belongs to Denmark and physically to North America. Area: 21,30,800 sq km The 2nd largest island in the world is New Guinea in South West Pacific Ocean. Area: 7,85,753 sq km The 3rd largest island in the world is Borneo in Western Pacific Ocean. Area: 7,48,168 sq km
New Guinea is the second largest actual island, just behind Greenland. The second largest island in the world is technically Africa, (after Eurasia) but continents, including Australia and Antarctica, are not defined as islands although they are surrounded by oceans.
Satun is the 2nd largest planet
largest
Orca aka killer whale is the largest. Not the 2nd largest. So what is the 2nd largest dolphin ?
