Buy a new one? There may be individual parts sold on a website that sells cubes, but I'm not sure if that's available for a 2x2.

a 1x1 cube is just a regular cube. A 2x2 cube would have 4 cubes so that would make it bigger than a 1x1 cube.

there are actually six, the original 3x3 cube, the 30th anniversary wood cube, the ice cube(clear 2x2 cube), the plain 2x2 cube, the 4x4 cube, and last but not least the 5x5 cube.
