You cannot convert a measurement of height into one of volume, without knowing the area the base covers. Is the 325 mm in a large swimming pool, or is in it a bucket?

We will assume that the measurement refers to the whole of a region. So we will look at 1 square centimetre of this region. This gives us a set of measurements - length, width and height.....

The length of the area is 1 cm.

The width of the area is 1 cm.

The height of the water is 32.5 cm

... so 1 x 1 x 32.5 = 32.5 cubic centimetres.

I litre = 1000 cubic centimetres, so 32.5 cubic centimetres = 0.0325 litres per sq centimetre.
