Either you didn't miscarry, you had sex and got pregnant again, or you still have the hormone in your system that causes a pregnancy test to show a positive result. I am guessing it is the hormone.

NO- not unless you are already having a miscarriage. Your cervix is what holds the baby in and coughing is not going to affect this. If bleeding occured after a cough- it's only because your baby miscarried and it sped up what what already going to happen

i had that very thing happen to me..my i took a urine test and it turned out positive. i went to the doctor they concluded i was pregnant but after a pelvic exam she told me my cervix was opening up. so they did two quantitative blood tests and they found my hcg levels were going down. my doctor told me, "iam sorry but your body is miscarrying." about three days later i started bleeding heavily, i miscarried.
