Check your transmission shift solenoids
The 1988 305 IROC-Z's had anywhere from 170hp to 220hp that could be had with either a 700r4 automatic tranny or a 5 speed tranny.

No, some IROC's are a 305 5.0 Liter and have a 5 speed manual. Total production for IROC's in 1987 was 38889, 12105 of those were 5.7L IROC's. ALL 5.7L IROC's were 700R4 Automatics, the remaining 26784 5.0L IROC's were available in Auto or Manual Transmissions.
low line pressure. take it to a transmission shop have the system flushed.(cooler, lines, transmission) new filter and fluid. tranny shop may also recommend a rebuild/replacement.
There were no IROC Camaros in 1991
no.
no, all IROC-Z's were V8s.
It was just an incorporation of the "Z" in Z-28. IROC stood for International Race Of Champions.....from the Nascar IROC races.
the last production year for the iroc z was 1990, there is no such thing as a 1991 iroc z
it'll hold, but will it handle??...the heavier engine has heavier springs and sway bars...etc... try searching for customized car web pages...good luck:) I'm going to go ahead and say that if you have a 2.8L then you do not have an Iroc. The Iroc is a option for the Z28 version. Basically you would get a H.O. motor instead of a standard. In your case on a 89 you would get a T.P.I.. And about the weight difference. You would have to get a spring with a stonger spring rate. Because if your car had a 2.8L form the factory the springs are set for the weight of the 2.8L.
There is no such thing as a 1992 IROC Camaro
