There is a nipple on the slave cylinder that u open and close to bleed. you need to find a around an 8 inch piece of clear aquarium tubing and a catch can "empty dog food can". U need to place the tubing over the nipple portion.if the tubing is to small insert needle nose pliers in the end and stretch it out. once tube is attached u can begin the bleeding process. Make sure you have extra brake fluid, and a person to compress the clutch pedal. Fill up your master cylinder and maintain a constant level if you don't u will have to bleed again. to bleed you need to open the slave cylinder valve and depress the clutch pedal to the floor and hold it there until u close the slave valve. then you can release the clutch u may have to manually move it back to the upward position. repeat these steps until you see a steady stream of fluid traveling through the tubing on the slave nip. once you there are no bubbles of air in your bleeding tubing and the pedal is stiff and retracts by itself you are done. top off your fluid and your ready to go.
Check your clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder for leaks,if no leaks, then you need a new clutch kit.
If it ain't the clutch itself then its prob. your slave or master cylinder.
The clutch and brake`s share the same resovoir the clutch master cylinder is attached to the top of clutch pedal and the clutch slave cylinder is inside the gearbox bell housing.
u must bleed the system . fill the clutch master cylinder with dot 3 brake fluid and keep an eye on it when bleeding so it wont run out ,have someone pump clutch pedal 3 times and hold to floor and oper bleeder valve on clutch slave cylinder till no air comes out then go to clutch damper and do the same ,follow clutch line fromclutch master cylinderto damper.
Under the hood at the top right corner. The brake master cylinder is also there, but the clutch is the smaller of the two.
To bleed a clutch on a Nissan Stanza, you need to find the bleed-off valve, usually somewhere near the slave cylinder.
check for leaks
The Clutch slave cylinder is located on the passenger side of the bellhousing.I recommend to replace the Clutch Master cylinder also;if either one is replaced , the other will fail in no time.
Bleed the clutch line that runs from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder utilizing the bleed valve on the slave cylinder.
look at the right side of the firewall.
on slave cylinder that's bolted to side of transmission and one on clutch damper ,which is bolted on left side of fire wall.
Look for leaking fluid at the slave or master cylinder.
