8months ago i had an eye infection the doctor didn t know what it was i had little bumps on my eyeball i still have blurred vision in my right eye from this infection it might be ekc help me?

Alright,

since I was limited in my question which is really irritating.

I DO NOT WEAR CONTACTS, MY EYES HAVE BEEN PERFECT EVER SINCE THIS EYE INFECTION.

8months ago I had a really bad eye infection. . .

I woke up one morning and my right eye was really swollen, red, sore, constant tearing crusted and itchy and severely sensitive to light, I had to wear my sunglasses at all times no matter what I couldn't even go outside it hurt so bad.

So I waited it out a few days thinking it was pink eye, so I finally went to the hospital and they gave me a polysporn drops prescription telling me I had pink eye and it would go away within 2-3 days. So I followed their directions except it did not go away when it should have, it then went into my left eye, I was confused on what to do and had it for 3 weeks and I noticed at a certain angle I could see little tiny bumps on my eye ball . . . Which is what made it feel like I had sand underneath my eye lids.

Being really concerned I made an appointment with an eye doctor, he was not sure what it was and he used yellow drops in my eyes and seen the bumps too, they were on the inner layer of my eyes.

He sent me home and told me to use Genteal eye drops for moisturizing thinking I just had dry eyes.

It has been over half a year now and I still get the same sand like feeling and sometimes I can notice the bumps still. My vision in my right eye which I had it the worst in is blurry and sometimes my left eye gets blurry to, especially after reading a lot, being on the computer, being in smoky areas, and when I blink it is extremely blurry and then if I don't blink for a bit my vision will focus back to normal, but as soon as I blink again it goes blurry. I also have a very stringy mucus from my eyes which is more than your normal "sleepy and eye discharge"

I have been looking on the internet for months and months and I think I might have found out what it is which is known as epidemic keratoconjunctivitis but I am still not sure if that is what it is because it does not have very specific symptoms etc. I am really concerned that this may have permanently damaged my eyes, I am mad that the doctor can't even tell me what is wrong with my eyes when that is what his job is!

Could anyone help me out?!
