Have the charging system checked. The light comes on when there is a charging system problem. it may be a battery, alternator or a battery problem.
it means there is a problem with the charging system.
There could be several reasons why a Toyota Sienna will not start. the most common problem would be a dead battery.
My aunt had an old Toyota Celica from the early 80's which experienced similar issues. The first thing to check is the alternator. It seems that the alternator wasn't charging the battery, and the lights were only being powered by the battery while driving - which made them dim.
It means you are having a problem with the charging system. Have the alternator and battery checked. Good Luck!!!
Usually a problem in the emission control system-have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
if you are trying to change it while it is running it always needs an earth for the ecu otherwise there should not be any reason connected with the battery to cause idle problem
You have a problem in your charging system. Most likely, either the alternator or battery is bad. Good Luck!!
Problem with the charging system. Most likely the alternator is defective.
You can reset it by unhooking the battery for 5 minutes. it will just come back on if you do not repair the problem that caused it to come on in the first place. Will it come on immediatly? Or will it take a bit of driving? It may come on very quickly or may take a few driving cycles, hard to say. If it comes back on then there is a problem with the emissions controls.
If the battery light is on, it usually means that the alternator has a problem. Have the alternator checked at a local auto parts retailer. If one or more of the diodes are bad, your battery charge will be affected.
Could be a corroded connection somewhere. Most likely the ground on the battery, either at the battery or at the other end where it connects to the vehicle.
