91 Honda Accord air conditioner doesn't work only hot air comes out what could be the problem?

On the left fender, by the condenser, there are three electrical items attached to a bar. The diode on the right side as you are looking down on it (to the rear) may need replacing. To check it out, remove it, take it apart, start the car and turn on the A/C and check it by shorting two pins in it. If your a/c starts to work then you found the problem. Just did that today and it fixed my problem. Chuck
