Black smoke is an indication of an overly rich fuel/air mixture. This will destroy your catalytic converter and O2 sensor so have it repaired ASAP.
Back side of the engine....mounted in the exhaust manifold.
You will need to remove the exhaust manifold retaining bolts in your 1993 Chevy Astro. Remove the exhaust manifold. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket and clean the surface. Reverse the process to install the new exhaust manifold gasket.
Your oil is (most likely) not leaking into your exhaust but rather through the head gasket into the cylinder(s). You have to machine your head and replace the gasket. (I don't recommend trying this on your own if it's your first time) I'm assuming of course that you have BLUE smoke coming out of your tail pipe.... if not clarify...
well on a 93 i would suspect u only have one which normally is in front of the catalytic converter on ur exhaust piping Engine-------o2 sensor--catalytic converter----muffler--exhaust tip in that order
How much oil does a 93 Chevy truck hold
That would be the piston seals, you are burning oil.
Oil leaking onto the hot exhaust will cause white smoke. This may be because oil was spilt whilst topping up or one of your gaskets has blown a leak.
Will a 93 chevy silverato steering collum fit a 98 chevy silverato
If you look at the TURBO you will see that it has a oil line that hooks to it. The oil seal starts leaking and oil from the engine runs inside of the turbo and makes an oily mess in turbo and Intake hose. Alot of times the engine will smoke out of the exhaust. You need to replace TURBO.

Sounds like this vehicle needs a good tune up and to be timed.
The ground wire of the coil. Its the white wire with a black stripe.
