abs = Anti Lock Brakes,,,,,,,,,,,,,, This is not the stopping brakes, its the NOT stopping brakes. Your anti lock brakes are not working. Its A computer and A pump with sensors, You need to take it to A GOOD shop to get it fixed. Not A cheap shop A GOOD one. This guy is a fool, you need to look in your service manual and look up your anti-lock brake system, then turn your car on and count how many times it flashes before it finally stays on. My camaro does the same thing but i dont have a service manual but it flashes once the stays on, then look that up in the service manual and that will tell you whats wrong and what you need to do from there.
well generally the best thing to do is to stop using them for a while and just let the air cool them. Its a bad idea to put water on them when they are hot, because it may cause the brakes to become brittle. If they are constantly overheating, though, you definitely want to get them changed.
my mechanic told me it is hard on your brakes. I suppose from having to constantly brake to slow the car down. It's like having cruise control on all the time.
No, it will not.
need more info. year and engine size? Most likely a bad sensor sending incorrect info back to the computer which sensor depends on year. It is a 1991 Camaro RS V6 3.1
worn brakes could be the cause or check the A frame bushings
you need new brakes
If brakes are sticking and you drive for a long distance, then yes
The most common cause is from the brakes overheating from being overworked.
talu
Yes rain along with other debris and contaminants from the road, especially in rain can cause in some cases quite a bit of noise from your brakes. If you're sure that your brakes are OK. It is usually caused by something getting stuck on or between the pad and rotor and should go away after driving for a little while. Otherwise as long as you're absolutely sure your brakes are OK you can depress your brake pedal with your left foot while driving and giving gas with your right foot as to not allow the vehicle to actually slow down. This will wear off whatever is stuck on your pad or rotor much quicker, but again I only recommend doing this if you're absolutely sure that your brakes are OK!
It must. I am having my '94 Camaro's timing gasket changed for just that reason.
the most probable cause is, there is air in system, bleed brakes
