Most comin failure on these cars is the opti-spark distibutor

your coil pack is defective.OR you have a vacume leak.
fuel system check engine light on was diagnose as being the fuel sensor now car cuts off while driving What would be the problems? You think maybe the fuel sensor could be bad? It's nice when the check engine light gives you the answer
A 350 engine will idle good but cut out and run rough while driving if there is a vacuum leak. This causes too much air to enter the engine under load.
Need to know year and engine size, That will help us answer your question. it's a 7.4 454 engine in a 1996 GMC suburban
main relay
Sounds like cam position sensor , when it starts going out it affects the timing causing the car to jerk and run badly
check your mass air flow sensor
The speedometer may cut off and they engine may splutter due to the Glow Plug Relay. It could also be the water temperature sensor.
It cuts off the engine while you start it up.
depending on what car it should cut out because the engine is being sapped of the power by the a.c and the gearbox stalls espicially up hills.
I would like to know that myself. I have a 1990 2.4L Caravan. I put in a used tranny when the other failed. a Month later it started to bog down while driving. It only happens when the engine heats up. Then I have to floor it to get to speed and it still acts like the engine cuts out and comes back and cuts out again. I stand on the brake while in gear and give it gas and it starts to stumble. Put it in park and rev it and the engine runs fine. I am wondering if it isn't the shift solenoid?
