Do you have fuel ?
Check fuel pump pressure with a gauge. You should be able to remove the gas cap and put your ear to it and hear the fuel pump run when someone turns the key on. That will tell you if the pump is working are not. Pressure test will tell you if the pump is up to power.
well my 97 Chevy 1500 extended cab has a 5.7 in it and averages around 15 mpg so i'd have to say yours would get better gas milage

Who ever came up with "King Cab" was pretty smart. King sounds powerful and important. Extended just sounds stretched out.
