i had the same problem. the theft lock system will disable the starter if it doesn't recognize the key. my ignition cylinder wore out due to too many keys on my key ring and wouldn't recognize the key. pop the hood and unplug every sensor you can access and leave unpluged for 5 mins then plug back in and try to start the car. it should reset the system long enough to bypass the theftlock system
