The Compromise of 1877 was the event that ended Reconstruction. The compromise did more than just end Reconstruction, it also settled the 1876 Presidential election dispute and removed federal troops from the South.

In general, objects that have text wrapping applied are anchored to the paragraph they are wrapped in. However, there are ways to work around this, so that images may be moved more easily.
Got to Format Tab, Wrap Text and Click on Square
You press the up arrow key, Next to the number key pad to move up one row. Then just repeat the same thing until you have moved all the way up that particular paragraph.
