Where is the fuse for the a/c compressor on a 1998 ford mustang
Its on the large hose (suction side) coming off the a/c manifold attached to the compressor...........
the relay swiych nseems to be heating up causing the a/c to shut off
According to the 1998 Ford Windstar Owner Guide : If it is equipped with the C/D changer : ( it is located in the center floor console )
No, you won't, - but it's almost impossible to safely by-pass the A/c pulley. Much easier to remove the A/c fuse then the pulley will rotate freely.
The idler pulley is between the alternator and the A/C compressor.
As of 2013 there are 16. The Ford fusion, Mustang, Taurus, Taurus X, Escort, Fiesta, C-Max, Escape, Edge, Explorer, Flex, Expedition, Transit, F-Series, E-Series Wagon, & Super Duty. There is also 5 Lincoln's. Lincoln MKZ, MKX, MKS, MKT, & Navigator.
You can unplug any electrical power to your a/c and render it useless. This also will work if you keep it shut off inside.
Something is out of line. Check alternator, a/c pump, idler and tensioner. I've had 3 Taurus and never a single broken belt.
you can go to autozone and buy a kit it is r-134a prolly around 20 $
