Autonomic neurons control signals to and from the brain to smooth and cardiac. Whereas Somatic neurons control the signals to and from the skeletal system and brain.
Presynaptic neurons send signals, while postsynaptic neurons receive signals in synaptic transmission. Presynaptic neurons release neurotransmitters that travel across the synapse to bind to receptors on postsynaptic neurons, triggering a response.
Neurons are in your brain, and are organic. While electrical cords are synthetic and supply electronics and many appliances or home decorating (such as lamps) with power.
Presynaptic neurons release the neurotransmitter in response to an action potential. Postsynaptic neurons receive the neurotransmitter (and can however become presynaptic to the next nerve cell, if the neurotransmitter has stimulated the cell enough).

Neurons are conducting cells in the nervous system and neuroglia do not conduct, but are helper cells to the neurons.
Neurons are the message senders and receivers (when you think of brain cells) and the glial cells are important for support; they maintain ions levels and provide structural support for neurons.

The space between neurons is called the synapse.
Somatic sensory neurons detect stimuli from the skin, muscles, and joints. Visceral sensory neurons detect stimuli from internal organs such as the heart, lungs, and intestines. Both types of neurons transmit sensory information to the central nervous system for processing.
Interneurons or association neurons are connector neurons that establish connections between other neurons.
