CAVERN or canyon- It is also called, in text book, a V-Shaped valley, or sometimes even a gorge, but these are formed by water falls. Ask me how waterfalls form gorges if you wish.
A delta is formed when sediment is deposited at the mouth of a river. A valley is formed when a river runs through a flat surface, erodes the soil, and creates a depression. So delta=deposition and valley/canyon=erosion. I hope that helped!

Most canyons were formed by a process of long-time erosion from a plateau or table-land level. The cliffs form because harder rock strata that are resistant to erosion and weathering remain exposed on the valley walls.
The Arkansas River was formed by erosion, not deposition.

Yosemite National Park and lakes were formed by erosion in California.
No. Wind can cause some erosion, but it cannot form valleys. Yosemite valley was formed by glaciers.
Look at the Grand Canyon. The Colorado River has eroded the rock (as it has risen due to other geological forces).
Glacial Erosion formed Yosemite Valley and the Sierra Nevada
