dial thermometer
Most dial thermometers use a bimetal spring to drive the pointer on the the thermometer face. Two metals are laminated together and wound to form the spring. One metal expands (or contracts) more rapidly than the other due to temperature changes. As the spring's shape changes the pointer moves accordingly. Another type of dial thermometer uses temperature-sensitive gas in a sealed tube to drive the point.
The wavelength. That means how far apart the waves are spaced. Light is electromagnetic energy just like any radio signal. The main difference is that if your favorite FM station is at, say, 98.3 on the dial, then visible light would 'tune in' anywhere between roughly 3,600,000,000 and 5,400,000,000 on the same dial. We can't build a radio that can tune to this range, but your eye is very sensitive to those signals. The color you see is determined by the exact number in this range ... red at the low end, violet at the high end. If the radiation is outside this range, then your eye no longer responds to it. These numbers refer to the 'frequency' of the signal, but the signal can also be described by its 'wavelength'. That FM station at 98.3 on the dial has a wavelength of about 10 feet, whereas the longest visible wavelength ... red light ... is about 0.00003 inch.
The FM range is 88 - 108 MHz (with broadcast frequencies, or stations, assigned between 88.1 and 107.9 MHz every 0.2 MHz). The AM range is 535 - 1605 KHz (stations are assigned between 540 and 1600 KHz every 10 KHz).
A bimetallic strip is made from two different metals that expand at a different rates. Two strips of these metals are bonded together, and when the temperature changes, one side expands more than the other, forcing the bimetallic strip to curl (the longer side would be on the outside of the curl). So if one end is clamped, the other moves. This motion is used to turn the dial of the thermometer.
Start at the medium setting and give it 24 hours. Invest in a dial thermometer to see the temperature. If need be adjust temperature from there. Range should be 38 to 42 degrees.

The temperature of the air causes the spring in an outdoor thermometer to retract or contract. This motion displays the temperature on the dial.
No. The sun dial was an early device to help tell time.
Almost all of the food thermometers available today are supposed to be inserted into the food. Food thermometers are classified into two groups which are the digital food thermometer and the dial food thermometer. In digital food thermometers, the thermocouple is the common thermometer used in the kitchen among thermistors, oven cord thermometers, and thermometer fork combination. The dial type food thermometer are made with bimetallic cord which are inserted into the food. Some of these dial type food thermometer are safe to go inside the oven while others offer instant read of temperature after few seconds.

In a liquid thermometer the liquid will retreat towards the reservoir bulb at the end of the thermometer. In other types of thermometers - digital, dial, etc. - decreasing values of the reading are an indication that temperature is dropping.
Hi there a meat thermometer should be inserted very central .Being central will mean it will be show the temperature inside the food so you would know if it was cooking ok in there or not. be ssur to also insert it upright. Most thermometers have a mark indicating how deep the thermometer should be inserted. If not then insert up to the dial. If you mean a roast by "roaster" than as close to the center of the meat as possible or the thickest part of the meat.
basically, a Bimetallic Stemmed thermometer is a thermometer that is used when cooking meats- like turkey (well turkey is poultry, but that is not the point) . They have a long stem that you poke into the meat and there is a dial on the top that tells you how hot the inside of the meat is.
Yes, Dial Soap is the name of a product, so should be capitalised.
yes
If users connect to the system by rote via dial-up line(e.g. from home), access should be restricted by a dial-up access control. Dial-up access controls prevent unauthorized acces from remote users that attempt to access a secured environment. These controls range from dialback controls to remove user authentication. Dial-back controls are used over dial-up telecommunication lines.
