Dead organisms are pressed down underground. [APEX]
In places where plants grow in profusion and their remains become part of the sediment, heat and pressure from the burial process will transform them into fossil fuels. In the case of planktonic plants and animals these are transformed into oil and gas and in the case of terrestrial plants these form thicker lenticular bodies of carbon rich rocks called coal (and peat).
The theory that fossil fuel made from the remains of plants was first introduced in 1556 by Georg Agricola and later in the 18th century by Mikhail Lomonosov. Fossil fuels are considered to be a renewable resource.
Coal, petroleum and natural gas all formed from the remains of ancient plants and animals.
Coal. Oil is formed from animals over million of years.
many plants and animals were died in natural calamities and their dead bodies are buried under the soil and they decompose to fossils
Coal and peat are used as fuel and are formed from plants.
they are made of decayed organism
Coal, Natural Gas and Oil
Coal.
At some point before the fossil became a fossil, a plant removed carbon from the air (carbon dioxide) and it became part of the plant that became a fossil.
Fossil fuels are made from plant and vegetable matter that died millions of years ago. The plants and vegetables got their energy from the main energy source around here - our sun. Essentially, fossil fuels can be regarded as stored energy from the sun. We use/release that energy again by burning the fuel.
coal is a type of solid fossil fuel and is formed from the remains of plant life.
Fossil fuels are considered indirect solar energy sources because all fossil fuels were formed from plants and animals that lived millions of years ago :) However, there is a growing body of science that asserts that the concept of fossil fuels is totally erroneous, and indeed, a myth. Click on the link below for an interesting article that supports that notion.
Fossil fuels (coal, oil natural gas, peat) are made from ancient plant and animal life. Plants and animals are mde from carbon compounds. As a consequence, fossil fuels contain carbon.
Coal, maybe?
Coal
That would be a fossil.
Oil and gas are fossil fuels and come from millions of year of earths pressure on the fossil and plant life that once existed. This is why they are nonrenewable.
it is made from once living things when the pangea on the earth moved away
Coal deposits form over a long period of time through biological and geological process. Dead plant matter is converted into peat, which is converted into lignite. Lignite is converted into sub-bituminous coal, after that bituminous coal, and lastly anthracite.
A brick is an object made by people for use in construction. A fossil is a remnant, cast, or impression preserved in stone or coal of an animal or plant that died millions of years ago.
Hydrocarbons or "fossil fuels".
The Fossil Record supports the idea that God created each kind of plant and animal individually. The Fossil Record does not offer any evidence for evolution, because it reveals that God created insects, plants, humans and other living organisms.
a plant that is a fossil
Yes an imprint is considered a fossil if it was created by life and the animal/plant/fungi in question is no longer alive. It is generally assumed that only if it is very old it is a fossil but technically this is not so.
Because with a Mummy, the tissues are preserved. Where as with a fossil, you have no tissue. You're really only left with fossilized bones.
