He is clearly confused about his sexuality. Maybe he is straight, but just has an emotional attraction to boys? and not a sexual one?
or maybe he has had more girlfriends than boyfriends, thats fine!!! when bisexual you can have more partners of one sex then the other. theres no 50/50 attraction to them both, you liken one more then the other. have a chat with ur mate, to maybe have a talk with his boyfriend if sex is a big thing to them then just be open and truthful :)
