Opinions and tastes vary widely but lets start a list.
'The Narrow Land' by Jack Vance
Yes it is! and a very good book
Well, there is another series called the Secret Series ( First book: The Name of This Book is Secret, Second Book: If You Are Reading This, It's Too Late, Third Book: This Book is Not Good For You). They are really witty and funny, and even though they are a close second to The Mysterious Benedict Society, nothing could ever be as good as it. You should check out the Secret Series (the author is Pseudonymous Bosch).
The genre of "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut is science fiction. It explores themes of equality, individuality, and government control in a futuristic society where handicaps are imposed on citizens to create social equality.
You need to read it for yourself. Very sad, very good
action adventure and a little science fiction very good series
Yes, I would say so, book stores and libraries have separate juvenile sections for children"s fare, which is a good thing. It is a genre in the sense of (type) like scince-fiction, historical fiction, etc.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst is children's fiction.
a pindrop
"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain is a novel classified as a coming-of-age story, falling under the genre of historical fiction. It follows the adventures of a young boy in a small town along the Mississippi River in the 19th century.
The story that I know called 'The Secret Garden' has only one scene in it that could be unreal in any level would be better called fantasy than science fiction. As a whole the story would not be a good candidate for the genre.
have you seen Death Note?
