Drinking the punch... various answers that have been proposed
  • He poisoned the punch...?
  • Perhaps he didn't drink enough of it...?
  • The poison was in the ice; the man drank the punch, and left before the ice melted and poisoned the punch.
  • He drank right before the punch started to become poisonous
  • Maybe he had a drink which cancels out the poison in the body

^^^^if that makes sence^^^^

maybe the poison was at the bottom of the bowl and therefore when he poured his punch it was mixed through and everyone else got poisoned.

He spiked the drink himself while no one was looking and left so he wouldn't get caught. That little sh!t.
