What are you using the ceiling for? Aesthetics, sound control, maintenance access, etc. Where is the ceiling? Residential basement, retail store, office building, etc. What is my Budget? Unlimited, extremely limited or some where in between. How large is the ceiling? 200 sq ft or 10,000 sq ft. Will light duty T-bar work or will I need heavy duty runners and mains. Do I need 2" perimeter molding. Am I in a SEISMIC ZONE? This one gets a lot of people in our area because of support, stabilization and flexibility/separation. Is this part of a fire or sound rated assembly? Is it attached to wood floor/ceiling or metal or concrete. How much room is in between the floor/ceiling above and the droop in ceiling below. Can I easily remove and replace tiles. What are the local building codes? How easy will it be to get replacement tiles in 10 years? Do I need to have additional for replacement? This is just a starter list, but it should give you an idea. This is something a lot of people do not have... an idea, in mean. :) Hope this helps! Maintain

Next, the installation phase involves hanging the grid system and placing ceiling tiles or panels.
