a picture of how to assemble a fan belt fro 98 Chevy venture van
It does not have a belt, it has a chain.
It has a chain
Chain.
The 1999 Chevrolet Silverado serpentine belt assembly diagram can be obtained from most Chevrolet dealerships. The diagram is usually provided when you purchase the serpentine belt.
on my 2000 Chevy Venture, it's the one that sits pretty much on the top of the belt drive.
there is no timing belt -- only a timing chain that does not need to be replaced
The 3.4 litre V6 engine in a 2004 Chevrolet Venture has a timing CHAIN
by loosening the belt tensioner
A serpentine belt run multiple auxiliary applications (IE AC, Power Steering, Alternator)
around $30 labor plus a $20 belt
I just found out that it has a timing chain. No maintenance is required.
I've got a better question, why is this question in the Chevy venture forum ? they have completely different engines and belts
