Best Answer

The skeletal system is the system of bones, ligaments, and tendons that makes up the human body. The teeth are also known as part of the skeletal system.

The skeletal system helps the human body in three main ways: support, as the skeleton keeps the body upright and prevents it collapsing on the floor; protection, as the bones guard our internal organs from the slings and arrows of the outside world; and movement, because the skeleton provides the structure for muscles to attach to our bodies to enable movement.

system of bones and cartilage that helps to support and protect the body. ----------- The skeletal system is the "organ" that provides the shape and form for our bodies in addition to supporting, protecting, allowing bodily movement, producing blood for the body, and storing minerals. It is separated into two secions; the axial, which is the skull, the sternum, the ribs, and the vertebral column; and the appendicular skelton which is the upper and lower extremeties (arms, legs- anything protruding from the trunk of the body) the shoulder girdle and the pelvic girdle
