Its a story about a widowed brahmin woman Mamtha, who was the son of a minister named chudamani. She was kind and a greedy-less woman. She was not fond of gold. Once Chudamani was killed by sher shah,Mamtha escaped somehow and lived in a small hut far away from her hometown. During a cold night a soldier came in for shelter, Mamtha first refused to let him in but after remembering the famous quote ' Athiti devo bhavah' and also she thought as a brahmin she did not want to desert a person in need and so, she lets him in And later on she gets to know that the soldier was the great mughal king 'Humayun'. And Then Akbar Humayun's sons builds a temple there and forgets to mention Mamtha's name in it.
