The A/C idle compensator solenoid is not functioning. This should be located next to the carb.
AC idle compensator. Many vehicles have a sensor that increases idle speed when you turn on & add more load. Sounds like your idle not being adjusted. Have your mech check it.
The idle compensator speeds up the engine when the ac is turned on to compensate for the additional load on the engine. If the engine is surging when the ac is on and not any other time then the compensator is probably bad. If it surges all the time but gets worse when the ac is on then look for an intake vacuum leak.
Sorry for my English I will do my best to explain this. The carbs of this Honda Magna have a knob in the middle of the carbs. It is for idle adjust, but is the problem is bigger you have to clean the carbs, check the jets and diaphragms is better if you can use an air compressor or maybe a vacuum sincronizer.
could be a combination of a non working idle compensator and a vacuum leak. Poor vacuum will cause your car to stall at a light, the brake booster runs on vacuum, this together with the added load of the AC with the idle not being raised by the idle compensator might cause this to happen. Check your vacuum lines, especially the one going to the brake booster, and check to see if when you turn on your AC the engine idle raises.
Check fuel, try new spark plugs, check carbs.

I'm going to guess yo have the air on, that would mean that the idle compensator is out of adjustment and over revving the engine.
Check plugs and clean carbs as well as balance them. There are no carbs to balance or clean!!! Change the IAC (Idle Air Control) or some times called the ISP (Idle speed control)
The Yamaha Raider does not have a idle adjustment based on the fact it has no carbs. It is fuel injected and auto adjusts based on the temperature and fuel delivery.
air conditioning compressors put a load on the engine causing it to slow down, vehicles have an idle compensator which when the air conditioning is on speeds the engine back up to normal idle speed or" compensates" for the added load.
