Cats have evolved to eat small meals several times a day. I do feed my cat two meals (once in the morning and once at dinnertime) along with my dogs, but have dry food available for her all day and night which she grazes on. Don't forget that fresh water once or twice a day!

It depends on how old your cat is. Under 1 year old? You should feed him/her 3 or 4 packets of wet food a day with some dry food. 1 year and over you should feed your cat 2 packets of wet food a day. Of course, this will depend on your cat's weight and activity level.
Adult cats would eat 2 cups a day if you let them but this is way too much, they only need 1/2 to 1 cup a day plus some other treats.
Kittens don't need alot of food and since they are still young it would sometimes be best to keep them on milk and canned food unless, of course your kitten chooses to eat dry food. It would be best to give them canned food though; it's soft and easier for them to chew.
Young cats/kittens eat depending on their size most of the time. Don't over feed it at a young age. If it's a small kitten feed it 1/2 to 1 cup of food a day. If it's larger it can sometimes eat 2 cups of food a day (mostly too much unless the kitten's active, then it's alright to feed it that much).
That really varies. It just depends on the cat's appetite, size and energy levels, so one amount will not suit all cats. Please consult your veterinarian, since this would depend on the specific cat.
It doesn't work in general, though the common amount would be from 3/4 of a cup to 1 1/2 cup of dry or 200g - 300g canned food per day. Of course, a cat fed on a high quality food will overall eat much less than a cat eating a lower quality food.
Cats sometimes eat alot. If the cats are outside cats, then they might not be as hungry as inside cats because they hunt. But cats usually eat about 4-6 bowlfulls of cat food.
