There are many factors that will affect utility costs in an apartment in Manhattan. These factors include the area of Manhattan, what type of heating the unit has, the type of insulation and how protected it is from the elements.
The current 2013 market rent for an apartment in Manhattan, in a modern building, with attended lobby, below 96th Street is; Studio $2000. to $3500. month, One Bedroom $2700 to $4500. month, Two Bedroom $3800 to $6500 month.
Call the utility company and ask them what the average bill was for that address.
It all depends on location, and what's included with the rent like utilities and if the apt is renovated paint job, floors, stove ,counter top, etc. I would ask for 750.00 to 800.00 if all utilities are included-water/sewage, trash and recycle removal and heat.. tenant pays for their own electric... plus pet fees
Average price is anywhere from $800-$3000 a month, depending on where it's located. Anywhere in Manhattan is going to be really expensive, but sometimes you can find good deals on apartments in Brooklyn or Queens, etc.
Of course! You are living in the apartment and therefore are obligated to pay to live there. Why would one think that the landlord would pay your rent?
How to be approved for an apartment
Singapore is much bigger than Manhattan. Singapore is 247 square miles and Manhattan is 33.77 square miles. If you take all 5 New York City boroughs, then then it would be 468.9 square miles.

"If you wish to buy a NYC apartment in Manhattan, you will find the average price to be about 1.38 million dollars (from 2010 pricing). If you would prefer to rent, expect to pay about $3000.00 per month for a one bedroom apartment."
The average cost to rent a two bedroom house or apartment in Miami, FL is about 900 to about 1,350 dollars per month. If utilities are included, it would cost somewhat more.
And acre contains 43,560 square feet. The conversion would be 87,120 square feet total.
$12-$1500 would be considered cheap for the area. See some listings here http://www.apartments.com/Results.aspx?page=results&stype=city&city=Manhattan&state=NY&rad=5
There are many pros and cons of living in a house for rent, rather than an apartment. Number one pro of living in a house would be size. The con of living in a house would be the cost of rent and utilities. Another pro about renting a house is you would probably have yard space, where as an appartment would not.
The total cost of 1600 feet would be $16, 000. To get the total price you take the total square footage and multiply it by the price per square foot.
Of course the answer to this would depend on the location in Kettering, if any utilities are included, how nice of a neighborhood, how many other apartments are around and the size of your actual apartment and rooms inside the apartment but to give an estimate for a 2 bedroom in Kettering Ohio, you can probably expect between $350.00-$450.00.
I would guess an apartment locating company....
The answer would depend on your local zoning laws. Most towns restrict certain areas to single family residential. You would be creating a multi-family or two family dwelling and would have to apply for a variance if you are in SFR zoning. In some areas this is almost impossible. In some jurisdictions, it's anything goes. To create a legal apartment in most areas you would also have to have separate utilities as well.
