The Trac Off light will come on if you push the traction button located below the automatic gear shifter. If driving and the light comes on, as well as the check engine light, then there is a malfuntion with the system. If low trac comes on, it means just that. You have low traction! Hope this helps :)

In a 2003 Ford Sport Trac, the backup light fuse is typically numbered 15. This fuse is located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. Always refer to the owner's manual for the exact location and specifications, as fuse numbers can vary.
Problem with the ABS.
Im guessing there is something wrong with your car!
Need to correct the problem and get a scanner to cancel the check engine light... Also, remove the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and the ECU will cancel the codes; but they will return if the problem has not been corrected.
If they are the same as on a 2001 Sport Trac, they are P25570R16...Hope this helps
The TRAC OFF light is usually caused by a problem in the ABS system. See the link TRAC OFF DESCRIPTION link below for more info.- TechJK -------------
Low Trac means Low Traction. if the light goes on, it means your car noticed that your wheels are spinning. Especially in winter, slow down and let your wheels grip the road. Spinning tires will make ice beneath it.
I just put new brakes on my 98 Ford Windstar van but the ABS light and the trac active light is still on, and at times the brakes stalls goes all the way to the floor, and the van acts like the wheels are locking up.
When the trac light is off, on a Buick Century, the traction control monitoring system is disengaged. It is recommended to have the trac system engaged on wet roads.
According to the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Owner Guide : ( # 9007 bulb is used in the headlights )
