- Playing homebrew games
- Playing videos
- Using it to use your Nintendo DS as an MP3 player
- Playing Nintendo Games you already own - for example my son has 20 games for his DS but I don't bring them all on holiday. So, I simply back up all 20 to my Acekard and bring them with me. I don't use any games that I haven't already bought and have at home - hence 100% legal.

In others, it is the perfect case of not what you have but what you do with it .But if your considering one realize the inflation of the ds flash market with fakes and clones.
