The gorillaâ??s large size means they have few enemies. Because of their size, their bodies have adapted to have long arms and short legs, which helps reduce stress on their bones and joints. Also to support their massive bodies, gorillas have relatively thick bones. Another adaptation is that their teeth have adapted to handle fallback foods which they must rely on in times of food scarcity.
